iMEdD – incubator for Media Education and Development, a non-profit organization founded in 2018 with the support of Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), launches its second round of the incubator. The application process is open to journalists and media professionals as well as students. The applications will be available here until October 15th at 23.59.
iMEdD’s incubator hosts for profit and non-profit organizations as well as individuals and teams who wish to create an organization or implement a specific innovative project in the field of journalism. The projects could include, indicatively, an investigative piece, multimedia, documentary, an online platform or a mobile app.
It aims at embracing the ideas of participants and offering them all the necessary tools, know-how and support to bring their ideas to life. Selected organizations are hosted for 9 months and projects for 3-6 months, starting November 2019.
More specifically, the incubator offer strategic advice and mentoring from local and international experts, networking opportunities with experts from Greece and abroad, access to workshops and events organized by iMEdD, fully equipped workspace and the necessary equipment and tools to bring ideas to life. For incubated organizations, consulting services for the launch and operations are also offered.
Our ultimate goal is for all teams to interact, building a very creative and innovative group of independent journalists and media professionals. Applications and more information regarding iMEdD’s programs are available on iMEdD.org.
