The iMEdD Incubator 2025 offers local journalists in Greece the opportunity to address important issues and collaborate on impactful stories, bringing their journalistic ideas to life.
The call for applications will run from January 20 to February 16 (23:59).
The program is open to teams of professional journalists (employed or freelance) working for different local media outlets across Greece. Each project should involve collaboration between at least two journalists from different cities, regions, or prefectures and aim for publication in at least two local media organizations.
Through collaboration and the journalistic exchange of information and experiences, important environmental, economic, and social issues can be brought to light. To highlight issues of infrastructure, deficiencies, systemic pathologies and corruption, but also to showcase stories of innovation and pioneering ideas of local and national importance.
Eligible formats for submission include text-based stories, photojournalism, audio reports or podcasts, short journalistic videos
Begin preparing your application by identifying strong ideas that address critical local issues while also shedding light on national matters that have relevance across regions. Engage with collaborators—journalists from different cities, regions, or media outlets—who align with your vision and offer complementary expertise. Together, develop a project that not only brings attention to urgent issues but also contributes to meaningful change.
More details about the application process will be available on January 20 at imedd.org.
