The European Press Prize for 2024 is now open for submissions from October 1 to December 15, 2023. Journalists from the Council of Europe’s 46 countries, as well as Belarus and Russia, are eligible to enter their work. Submissions must have been published between December 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023.

Entries should not exceed 5,000 words, and only one article per person per category is allowed for Investigative Reporting, Distinguished Reporting, Innovation, and Migration Journalism. For the Public Discourse Award, up to three pieces can be entered.
The primary form of entry should be written journalism with supporting material. Podcasts, documentaries, movies, TV broadcasts, and other non-textual journalism formats are not eligible. Articles should be submitted in their original language, and English translations can be provided if available.
In case of safety or logistical constraints, someone else can submit work on behalf of the journalist.
